The Group meets Wednesdays at 9 am to the Coco’s Restaurant and Bakery on Imperial Highway off the 57 freeway. Agents, Brokers and principals are welcome. I recovered what I could from the old site and uploaded it here. I’ll work on more as I have time.
Our website, LandAndInvestment.com migrated to a new hosting service. This should reduce or eliminate some of the problems with the hacker attacks on the site.
We need to get everyone set up on the automatic notice block on the website as that is the best way to notify you of meeting changes, etc. Please enter your email in the subscription block on the right side of web page.
Posting Notes – Land and Investment
This is a WordPress site. To modify your current posts or to add a new post you must first log in to the LandandInvestment.com website.
For those of you who like to view properties and their surrounding area from your computer (and see many places around the world) try mapstreetview.com
Try it out with your home address. This is a bit different from showmystreet.com and gives a nice neighborhood view whereas showmystreet gives better commercial building views (multi-story). Google Earth is still best for overhead views and views away from the street.
With a property profile from Dennis and these tools you can do a pretty fine quick CMA without leaving your office.
Congratulations Joel! Know you will do an excellent job teaching newbies the Real Estate business.
Site was hacked again. I have changed all passwords. You can log in and change it to whatever you want but please use a strong password. Hackers can get in through any user’s password if it is not strong enough and damage the complete site.
You are set up as a user of the LandAndInvestment.com group so you can post properties – haves or wants – or anything of interest to the group.
I changed all the passwords because site was hacked – if you, sometime, want to post something simply click on “lost password” and a new password will be sent to your email address.
If not, nothing happens and you are not on any “list”. If you want to receive an email for new posts simply go to the website and enter your email in the “See Opportunities First” box. Again, you will not be on any “list” – no one can see your email or has access to it (except me). If you want off at any time simply email or call me.

If you need a great commercial or residential agent in the greater Seattle area call me. For that matter, call me for anywhere in Northwestern Washington State. I was a licensed broker there for many years and helped build two large real estate offices as the operating principal.
New Year – working to catch up with posts AND add some new features.
Whenever a post is opened your user information appears at the bottom of the post. If you look at a few of these you will get an idea of what you can have appear automatically in this box along with you picture (if you have set up a Gravatar). Note: you can find how to set up a Gravatar by searching “Gravatar” on the website.
Your user profile can also contain the following:
Twitter user name
Facebook author URL
Google+ author profile.
Any of these will improve your visibility and should help you find and work with clients.
Send the information to me and I will add it to your User Profile. Sorry – you have to do your own Gravatar because it interacts with your email address.
Let’s make some deals this year!
Lots of great happened this year including successfully moving to a new facility in Brea – Thanks Dennis Wilson for locating and negotiating.
Did not keep track of how many new members but certainly a bunch!
Many, many properties, services and wants included in the Have/Want sheets – Thanks Clarence Alvey!
Brenda and Dean Burnett of Coast to Coast Escrow provided the printing services, the holiday breakfast – and a lot more. Thanks folks!
John Lastelic and Dorothy Zinc of Haven Exchange provided the foundation support to keep everything going, moving Have/Want sheets (when necessary actually doing the updates), paying the bills and whatever was needed. Thanks to them!
Finally, our moderators: Kathy Clark, Manny Hernandez and Dennis Wilson kept the meetings on track. THANKS!
Hope you all have a very successful new year – see you on January 6th, 2016 – Steve Long, webmaster
